Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Tale

The story of the American writer Mark Twain (1835-1910) “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” is the most “hooligan” and funniest children's book of the 19th century. This is how it remains today - almost 150 years later... Here are exciting adventures: life on an island, exposing a murder, searching for treasure - intertwined with the mischief and fantasies of a tomboy. And all this is written with good humor, love and sincerity.
The author said that the book was written not only for children, but also for adults: he wanted to “remind them of what they themselves were once like, what they felt, thought, how they talked and what strange adventures they sometimes got involved in.” And indeed, in the heroes of the story you can see yourself, your childhood pranks, experiences, suffering, friendship, love, resentment, cunning - everything that is close to a reader of any age and at any time.
The work is published in the translation of the Russian children's poet and writer Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky (1882-1969).
