What if the Black Man exists? What if he has a son? And what if the son needs a nanny?

Leaving her job at the circus, Dichenbre gets a new position. But upon entering a mysterious mansion, she discovers that her employer is the Black Man, lord of nightmarish horrors and terror of all children in the world.
