Antoshka. The Story of One Life

Life for Antoshka is not sweet. Along with other homeless children, he begs on the street, but all the money he begs from passersby is taken to a cruel "uncle" with whom he lives. For the slightest misdemeanor, he and the other little beggars face harsh punishment. Only one person is kind to Antoshka - a drunken nobleman and former officer whom the local beggars call "the count." He saves the boy from street life by taking him in...
