The Fiery River

Two friends are paddling down a river in northern Canada in a canoe. They have always been united by a love for mountains, books, and fishing, and now by a long-awaited journey. Long days of patient rowing and picking blueberries,... gazing at stars at night, reading Westerns in soft covers during breaks… Is this not a dream? But a forest fire creeping through the woods makes their journey much more dangerous than they anticipated. One night, as the fire approaches, they hear a man and a woman arguing on the fog-covered riverbank; the next day, a man appears on the river, paddling alone. Is this the same man they heard? And if so, where is the woman? This is where a dizzying and heartbreaking tale of desperate survival in the wilderness and true friendship begins.
