Calendar: How the Bunnies Celebrated the New Year

To make the anticipation of the New Year not sad and tiring, spend the last 15 days of the year with an exciting and cozy advent.

The bunny family decided to celebrate the New Year in a forest hotel, where their friends from different countries gathered. Bunnies Tosha and Tasha were chosen to be the postal carriers of the secret Santa. Every day they find themselves in a new guest's house, give them a gift, and listen to a story about how they celebrate the New Year or Christmas in that country.

Advent composition:

an enormous poster to decorate the wall in the room;
15 sheets with stickers;
16 cards with stories;
16 task cards;
a small suitcase, in which every day you need to put two cards, a sheet with stickers, and a small souvenir if desired;
a game "Find the Differences".

Instructions:

Start playing 15 days before the New Year!

Before the game starts, cut the cardboard sheets into four parts to make 32 cards. Cut out the suitcase details, fold them along the dotted lines, and glue them. Every day the suitcase should contain a sheet with stickers and two cards: one with a story and one with a task. As a surprise, you can also add a candy, a favorite fruit, a pretty stone, or a small souvenir.
Help the bunnies decorate the Christmas tree and deliver gifts.
The game starts on December 17th. Hang the poster on the wall. Take out two cards and a sheet with stickers from the suitcase. Read the story and stick the main characters in their house, the reindeer – on the couch next to bunny Tosha, the number of days left until the New Year – on the calendar, the toy – on the tree.
Decorate the little tree on the poster with the toy stickers.
Keep track of the days left until the New Year on the calendar in the bunnies' room.
Read at the bottom of the story cards where the bunnies will go tomorrow, and help them find the right house and leave a gift from the Secret Santa nearby.
Complete the tasks from the second block of cards. Such winter and festive activities will help you fill the days leading up to the New Year with pleasant anticipation.
After the game ends, turn the task cards picture side up. Choose two similar pictures and ask the child to find five differences.
