Mathematics. Functional Literacy. 3rd Grade

Elementary school students often consider mathematics to be something boring and unnecessary. The author of this training program proves the opposite. It turns out that calculations depend on a lot. It is not only an interesting activity but also a... very useful practical skill. This training program is designed to teach third-grade students to apply the knowledge they have gained in real life. Each topic contains tasks for both self-assessment of knowledge and their application to solve a variety of practical problems. Completing the tasks will contribute to the development of the student’s mathematical literacy as well as their functional literacy.

As a result of working with the training program, a third grader will:
• independently determine their level of knowledge;
• gain practical experience in applying it;
• increase their motivation to study.
