with gifts, fulfill any wish. The... girl thinks that this is how it should be. Only after meeting the poor children of London does she change her attitude toward life. This touching story is about the birth of mercy and compassion in a person's soul.
Elizabeth Thomasina Mead-Smith (1844–1914) is a famous English writer, author of more than three hundred works for children and youth. The story "Maggie, The Spoiled Princess" is published in Russian for the first time.
