When American intelligence learned of the preparation for the publication of this book, several European countries expressed protest through diplomatic channels and demanded that its release be banned.
They claimed that this book is slander against the main Western values: democracy,... freedom of sexual minorities, and so on. And the facts presented in it from recent years, although they indeed happened, were portrayed by the author in a markedly negative light, tarnishing Western culture.
Supposedly, the author even fabricated some events. For example, Victoria Nuland already stated to American media that she never met with Boshirov and Petrov, and that there allegedly was no secret Western plan to destroy Ukraine, according to her.
