Curator

A city in the world of steampunk America. Horse-drawn carriages coexist with trams, residents deify cats, epidemics of cholera and chickenpox rage in the slums. A revolution has just occurred, and now the country is torn apart by civil war.... A girl named Di requests to be appointed as the curator of the Society for the Study of Connections to Other Realities, in an attempt to find her deceased older brother - if not among the living, then among the dead... or in other worlds. Meanwhile, in a neighboring dilapidated museum, strange exhibits appear on their own, a mysterious bearded inhabitant of the former embassy tortures to death those devoted to him by unknown forces, and the grim Ship-Morgue gathers a crew of the dead at night...
