The Amazing Journey of Nilsa Horgerson

Once there lived a mischievous boy named Nilss Holgerson. Left home alone, he saw a gnome, caught it... and was turned into a small creature.
When Nilsa's mother's best gander was about to fly away with the wild geese, the boy,... wanting to hold on to it, wrapped himself around the gander's long neck and found himself high above the ground. Thus began the dizzying journey with the wild geese, during which the boy experienced much unusual and understood how important friendship, kindness, and mutual assistance are.
The exciting narrative is complemented by illustrations by Marina Puzirenko.
