“Ucipuci Thinks Outside the Box” is a book for preschool and early school-age children. The book tells the story of the playful owl Ucipuci and is a continuation of the book “Ucipuci is Looking for a Home”.
This time, the events...
experienced by the owl take place at home, as Ucipuci has happily returned to her friend – the boy Kriša. One morning, Ucipuci is left alone at home and accidentally falls into a huge cardboard box left there after playing by Kriša's brother. She meets the inhabitants, whose existence she had not even suspected... What she experiences there teaches her how to change her thinking when circumstances cannot be changed, to be able to fantasize, to not be afraid, to overcome the fear of the unknown, and finally – how to think outside the box.
At the end of the book, there are Ucipuci's Insights, where the children's understanding that things can be viewed from different perspectives is reinforced with the help of optical illusion images. But how can Ucipuci be without surprises? On the cover of the book is Ucipuci with movable wings, making it not only a great book in the eyes of the child but also a lovely toy.
