On the roof of a very ordinary house on a very ordinary street in Stockholm lives a gentleman named Karlson. Behind a large chimney is a small house where he lives. Karlson, who lives on the roof, is a good friend of the Little Brother, who lives on the fourth floor. One lovely day, Karlson comes flying in through the window to visit the Little Brother. And then he gets into the Little Brother's steam engine, because Karlson is the best steam engine master in the world. By the way, Karlson is the best at everything, if you can believe what he says. And the Little Brother believes him. The Little Brother thinks that Karlson is the best always and everywhere. And he is the best playmate in the world.
