In the forest, birds and animals have their own floors: mice live in the roots — at the very bottom; various little birds, like the nightingale, build their nests right on the ground; thrushes a little higher, in shrubs; cavity-nesting... birds — woodpeckers, tits, owls — even higher; at different heights on the tree trunk and at the very top, predators settle: hawks and eagles.
I once had to observe in the forest that for them, the little animals and birds, the floors are not like ours in skyscrapers: we can always change places with someone, while every species for them lives strictly on its own floor.
