Between Two Worlds

Olivier Norek — a former humanitarian volunteer in French Guiana and the countries of the former Yugoslavia, then a police officer with an eighteen-year career, possessing unique experience and a sober view of reality. Adam Sarkis, a special agent with the military police in Damascus, sends his wife and six-year-old daughter to Europe, hoping to protect them from deadly danger, intending to follow them soon after. But fate has other plans: upon arriving in France, Adam finds no trace of Nora and Maya. The most precious people to Adam have gone missing, and the chances of finding them in the insane, cruel world of immigrant slums are close to zero. However, Adam does not lose hope: he has a photograph of his wife and daughter, he has strange, unexpected helpers, and finally, he has faith that can make the impossible possible.
