Lunyu. Judgments and Conversations

Lunyu — "Selected Conversations", or in the commonly accepted translation "Judgments and Conversations" — is a classical monument that has preserved the philosophical legacy of Confucius and his disciples. Emerging in the era of Eastern Zhou (8th-3rd centuries BC), it ultimately included the Teacher's conversations with the followers of his school, discussions among the disciples themselves, and the characteristics of Confucius provided by later generations. Lunyu presents the fundamental concepts of Confucianism, revealing them both in a social context and from the perspective of personal growth. The profound meanings embedded in the monument allow the reader to penetrate the very essence of the learning process as such, immersing themselves in the nuances and subtleties of the teacher-student interaction.
