Petersburg Detective: A Collection

The book is a kind of dedication to the Petersburg Detective Club, which for more than thirty years has actively developed a school of detective-adventure novels and has organized a community of professional writers, masters of criminal journalism, publishers, journalists,... as well as current and former criminal police officers, lawyers, and representatives of the judicial system. The collection Petersburg Detective presents selected works by seventeen authors who work in literary forms of completely different directions – documentary essays, classic detective short stories, historical, children's, romantic, ironic, and even fantastic detective stories. Among the authors are not only recognized classics of the genre but also those who are just trying themselves in a new field. What unites the authors is the characteristic style preserved since the 1990s of the Petersburg school of detective-adventure novels.
