Night Gardener

Kip and Molly flee from Jordan in search of a better life. On the road, they lose their parents. For food and a roof over their heads, they enter the service of the gloomy Windsor estate. The locals avoid this... terrible place. The half-destroyed mansion stands in the shadow of a huge sinister tree. The inhabitants of the estate are always pale and ill. At night, the mansion is visited by a tall guest in a black hat. He walks through room after room, leaving traces of mud, and then disappears. With each passing day, life at the Windsors becomes more and more unbearable. Kip and Molly can no longer distinguish reality from nightmarish visions. Perhaps they will find the answer in a secret room that is always locked... or perhaps the secret hidden behind the green door will make them prisoners of the house forever.
