Everyone here is under suspicion, and each one faces the danger of becoming the new victim of a villain from whom there is nowhere to hide in the house, cut off from the outside world by a snowstorm. Even the police, who arrive to investigate this case, cannot leave the scene until the mystery is solved, which, of course, is impossible without the logical reasoning and decisive actions of the two teenage detectives, as well as their new and old friends. As in the first book, “The Body Under the Piano,” the heroes are awaited by intricate riddles and initially inexplicable phenomena, dark stories of the past, and serious trials in the present, while readers will encounter unexpected plot twists that maintain intrigue throughout the work, sincere emotions, subtle humor, and the atmosphere of exquisite English life at the beginning of the 20th century.
