Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov is considered one of the greatest military leaders in the history of Russia and one of the great commanders of the early modern period. His campaigns and battles are still regarded as the pinnacle of military art, and legends and soldier tales about him were created even during his lifetime. Our hero was a true hero, as his contemporaries said. In The Science of Winning, he shared his views on training soldiers, combat tactics, and illuminated other issues concerning the functioning of the army. The work condensed the methods of A. V. Suvorov that brought him fame as an invincible commander, and besides that, this edition includes touching letters from Suvorov to his daughter, as well as his autobiography.
