Empire of the Dead

Alternative Europe of the 19th century.
After successful experiments with reanimating the dead, humanity finds new labor. The dead become an integral part of society: porters, cleaners, cab drivers… All dirty work can now be entrusted to these soulless beings.
During one... of the armed conflicts in Central Asia, a small squad of experimental "models" is kidnapped and hidden in the mountains.
A young doctor and a true patriot of his country, John Watson, is tasked with investigating the case and uncovering the true nature of this new weapon. The eager student does not initially realize that he has become entangled in a confrontation between forces that will stop at nothing, even standing on the edge of the abyss. Being a pawn on this chess
board, he nevertheless will have to unveil the veil of mystery surrounding life,
death, and the true essence of the soul…
