Six Months to School: Urgently Learning to Read. Exercise Album for Children Aged 5-7.

This manual is part of the set "Six Months to School: Urgently Learning to Read". It will help educators of mass groups in preschool organizations to organize and conduct lessons on teaching reading and writing to children in preparatory groups.

The working system proposed by the author is based on the syllabic method of teaching reading and the positional principle of reading developed by D.B. Elkonin. The work on teaching reading is carried out in the following sequence: studying vowels in pairs; studying pairs of consonant sounds based on hardness and softness within one lesson; mastering reading using the syllabic method; using colored symbols to denote sounds; working on constructing schemes of words and sentences; familiarizing children with a number of grammatical and orthographic rules; expanding and clarifying children's representations of the surrounding reality, enriching their vocabulary and developing speech.

The manual is addressed to educators of mass groups in preschool organizations, primary school teachers, tutors, and parents.
