The... working system proposed by the author is based on the syllabic method of teaching reading and the positional principle of reading developed by D.B. Elkonin. The work on teaching reading is carried out in the following sequence: studying vowels in pairs; studying pairs of consonant sounds based on hardness and softness within one lesson; mastering reading using the syllabic method; using colored symbols to denote sounds; working on constructing schemes of words and sentences; familiarizing children with a number of grammatical and orthographic rules; expanding and clarifying children's representations of the surrounding reality, enriching their vocabulary and developing speech.
