The work on teaching reading is carried out in the following sequence: studying vowels in pairs; studying paired consonant sounds for hardness and softness within a single lesson; mastering reading through the syllabic method; using colored symbols to denote sounds; working on constructing word and sentence diagrams; familiarizing children with a number of grammatical and orthographic rules; expanding and clarifying children's understanding of the surrounding reality, enriching their vocabulary, and developing their speech.
