I'm Going to School

“I'm Going to School!” is a book suitable for gifting both to a kindergarten graduate at graduation and to a new student on their first day of school. The colorful covers contain a real first-grader's kit, intended for comprehensive learning... and personalization. In the book, it is possible to paste photographs of kindergarten groups and friends (or draw their portraits) and write down the names of teachers and friends. Various poems will help practice reading skills – about school, learning, books, letters, numbers, counting, drawing, curiosity, and big dreams.
Here you can find both classic poems about the naughty stripe and the book that expresses everything without a tongue, as well as newer poems about the beauty of language, the joy of entering school, and the desire to be great. Once enough reading is done, one can tackle various tasks. The book invites the reader to draw a self-portrait and their home, write down their address and birthday. Every future student can check themselves in calculations (in the first ten size), in writing printed letters, and practice combining numbers and drawing tasks. At the end of the book, there is a colorful diploma that certifies that everything has been done honorably and that the owner of the book is going to school.
The bright edition is adorned with witty and playful drawings by Gundega Muzikante and Juta Tīrona, and the book design was created by Vita Lēnerte.
