The proposed edition of the first part of the famous tragedy by J. W. Goethe "Faust" can be used as a book for home and audience reading.

The unadapted text in the original language is accompanied by a commentary that provides a brief description of each scene, an interpretation of realities, occasional and outdated words and constructions, and difficult-to-understand poetic lines, allegorical and symbolic images.

The book is intended for a wide range of readers proficient in German, for high school students, university students, and can also be recommended to individuals who are learning German independently and are interested in German classical literature.
