The proposed edition of the first part of the famous tragedy by J. W. Goethe «Faust» can be used as a book for home and classroom reading.

The unadapted text in the original language is accompanied by a commentary that offers a brief description of each scene, interpretation of realities, occasional and obsolete words and constructions, difficult-to-understand poetic lines, allegorical and symbolic images.
