The set of educational materials titled «I LEARN TO LISTEN AND SPEAK» that you... hold in your hands is created to help a deaf child with a cochlear implant learn to hear, understand speech, and speak.
Many years of experience and common sense convince: it is impossible to teach a deaf child to speak if their parents are not the main participants in the learning process.
Equally important is that a specialist (a teacher for the deaf, a speech therapist, a psychologist) is nearby, who should help the child and parents move along this difficult, yet interesting path!

At the core of this unique set of methodological materials lies the «auditory» method of rehabilitation of children with cochlear implants, developed at the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Ear, Nose, Throat, and Speech.
