Learning to Write Notes: Worksheets for Young Musicians

 The feature of these musical worksheets is the repeated writing of two parallel sound sequences - C major and A minor, which are the primary cell of the circle of fifths. Each time, the familiar sound sequences appear to the... child in a different rhythmic or metric form, posing new cognitive challenges. This technique allows the child to focus on a new element of musical language that has appeared in the already familiar notational picture during the learning process. In the manual, almost all elements of musical language are organized into four- or eight-bar structures, which will enable the learner not only to write the offered notational-rhythmic material but also to perform it.
