Letters of the Mahatmas

Letters of the Mahatmas is a documented correspondence of the Great Teachers of the White Brotherhood M. and K.H. with two Englishmen – A.P. Sinnett and O.A. Hume, who held significant social positions in British India. This book contains the quintessence of the spiritual esoteric Teaching, published for the first time for wide distribution during the founding period of the Theosophical Society, and answers many fundamental questions of human life and afterlife.

The current edition of "Letters of the Mahatmas" is based on the translation by A.P. Haydock made in the 1950s, the translation of the book has been clarified and checked against the originals stored in the British Library in London, scanned images of which illustrate some Letters. This issue includes and for the first time in Russian publishes the circumstances of receiving each message, all of which are arranged in strict chronological order. The book contains extensive additional materials and photographs, a detailed glossary of special terms and names of Teachers, theosophists, scholars, politicians, spiritualists, and mystics of that time is compiled, descriptions and biographies are introduced.
