Practical Exercises for the Development of Psychic Abilities

This collection consists of two works: 1) "Indian Fakirism or a Practical School of Exercises for Developing Psychic Abilities" by the French occultist, writer, and popularizer of esoteric knowledge Paul Sedir (1871-1926); 2) "Secrets of Occultism in an Accessible Presentation"... by the Russian mystic and publicist of the late 19th-20th century Alexei Tokal. In the first part, P. Sedir introduces the reader to the basics of meditation and yoga, as well as providing fundamental knowledge on the energetic and chakra structure of a person, while also offering recommendations for the development of extraordinary psychic abilities. At the end of the first part, there is an excellent dictionary of terms in Hindu esotericism, in which a large number of quite complex terms are explained through simple and clear descriptions. In the second part, A. Tokal provides initial information on esotericism, while also revealing topics such as sleepwalking, somnambulism, hypnotism, clairvoyance, telepathy, warning dreams, and spiritism.
