The heroes of the novel are quite prosperous people by any standards: wealthy by birth, educated by family and classical institutions, self-sufficient due to their chosen work and pleasure in serving it. The world of young people in the 60s... and 70s of the last century still hears articulate speech filled with rainbow dreams destined to come true... And they do come true, for their world is the Russian poetry of the Silver Age, samples of foreign classics, and therefore, this world is much more real than the mundane and everyday life.
The heroes complement each other, having had the chance to appreciate the logic of great Russian thinkers and artists - the spirituality of each person enriches the path of the spirituality of the Universe.
In the novel "Shlyakhtich," there are many quotes that allow one to leaf through the pages of Akhmatova, Blok, and Bulgakov once again. The ending of the second book eloquently proves: the love of the heroes is the truth in the final instance.
Without it, the heroine says, there was "captivity of longing for happiness".
