Thomas Carlyle (1795-1881) was a British writer, philosopher, and historian of Scottish descent. He is the author of notable works such as "The French Revolution" (1837) and "The History of Frederick II of Prussia" (1858-1865). The main themes of his... works always include "The Cult of Heroism" and "Divine Providence," as well as the development of the individual as a personality. The book "Heroes, the Worship of Heroes, and the Heroic in History" includes a cycle of lectures from the author's later period, dedicated to the role of the exceptional individual in world history, and the interrelationship between the "hero" and "ordinary society." Thanks to this work, Thomas Carlyle was able to become one of the most respected political prophets.
