Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most talented and mysterious figures of the Renaissance. The creator left behind a wealth of inventions, paintings, and secrets, many of which remain undisclosed to this day. Da Vinci is referred to as a universal genius. He reached heights in almost all fields of science and art. A brilliant engineer, painter, sculptor, architect, designer, inventor, mechanic, chemist, philologist, anatomist, singer, and creator of astonishingly beautiful and resonant musical instruments, composer – he wrote many exquisite cantatas. The universality of Leonardo's genius was only appreciated when his previously unknown works were discovered – notebooks and manuscripts totaling around seven thousand pages, many of which were illustrated. Yet, many of the genius's secrets remain unsolved to this day.
