This edition is a joint work of the French psychologist Alfred Binet (1857-1911) and physician Charles Samson Fere (1852-1907), dedicated to magnetism and hypnosis, published in 1887 under the title "Le Magnetisme animal" («Animal Magnetism»).
This book was extremely popular at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, but it has not lost its significance even today. It can be considered a kind of encyclopedia of the mysterious phenomena of our psyche.
