Led: A Tale

Albert Payson Terhune 1872-1942 - an American writer, journalist, and dog breeder. Terhune had a reputation as a fine journalist, but he became a celebrity through his stories about dogs. He became popular due to his books dedicated to the... adventures of his beloved Collie breed pets. His world-famous kennel laid the foundation for today's long-haired Collie breed lines. The tale Led 1919 is a story about a dog of noble blood and noble soul. It was first published twenty years before the release of the famous novel Lassie by Eric Knight. The story of Led resonated incredibly, even influencing the development of the breed standards for Collies, and has survived more than eighty reprints.
