How did holy people live? People often think that they always did everything right and never made mistakes. They would sit somewhere in a desert cave, read wise books, and pray to God. And if someone came to them - they would give wise advice on how to live properly. But we - ordinary people. We constantly make mistakes - at home, when we misbehave with our parents, brothers, and sisters. And at school - when we don't study our lessons well. And in general - we make mistakes everywhere we look. How can we compare to holy people... But imagine such a saint who not only made a mistake but betrayed Christ, denied Him. Not just once, but three times! What could be worse for a person? That would surely be worse than a quarrel with grandma or a failing grade in math. Yet, this is the same saint that the Christian Church has honored for two thousand years as the chief apostle, one of the main saints. But how could this happen?
