The Poetry of the Silver Age

The Silver Age is commonly referred to as a period in the history of Russian poetry that relates to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The very name is given by analogy with the "Golden Age" of Russian poetry (the first third of the 19th century) — the era of the poets of the Pushkin cohort.
This collection includes selected poems by I. Annensky, V. Bryusov, D. Merezhkovsky, Z. Gippius, K. Balmont, A. Beliy, A. Blok, N. Gumilyov, I. Severianin, A. Akhmatova, and M. Tsvetaeva, recommended by the school literature curriculum for reading in high school.
