A novel about the real Soviet ace Mikhail Devyataev, who managed to escape from a German concentration camp on the island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea in an enemy plane, taking with him the main secret of the fascists with which they planned to turn the tide of the war. February 1945. Senior Lieutenant of the Air Force Mikhail Devyataev is facing death in the German camp 'Sachsenhausen'. The brave pilot has repeatedly attempted to escape, but each time unsuccessfully. By chance, he succeeds in changing his status from death row inmate to penal battalion member, after which he ends up in a concentration camp on the island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea. It is there that the fascists are conducting secret work on creating a 'weapon of vengeance'. Mikhail understands that he must, at all costs, inform his own about this. But how? The camp is well guarded, surrounded by a desolate area and endless cold sea. The only chance is to break free from captivity in an enemy plane.
