Pampered beautiful St. Bernard Buck lives in California. Weighing one hundred forty pounds and possessing a sense of dignity, Buck is the "king" of... the estate, but one day his life takes a sharp turn. He is kidnapped by dog traders and sold in Canada, where the demand for strong, enduring dogs is very high. Buck sees snow for the first time and learns the law of survival in this strange wild world: "The one who falls is done for". He must hold on tight. Buck will have to defend his food, sleep in the snow, and assert his leadership in the dog team.
