Book 1. Kidnapped
David Balfour, the son of a village schoolteacher, finds himself the heir to the estate of Shaws-haus. He will have to fight for his inheritance against his uncle, who is unwilling to give up his claims: he makes... a deal with the captain of the ship "Covenant," and David is taken away from his homeland to be sold into slavery. On the ship, David rescues Alan Breck, a Scottish rebel, from cruel sailors, and together they seize the "Covenant" - thus begins their adventures at sea, on islands, and in the hills of Scotland.

The continuation of the novel "Kidnapped." David Balfour has become a wealthy gentleman and wishes to restore justice and save his friends at any cost, even at the expense of his freedom and life.
