Language and Child: Mastery of Native Language by a Child

The manual examines the process of a child mastering their native (Russian) language: the phonetic side of speech, morphological categories, syntactic constructions, and vocabulary formation. It provides an analysis of the patterns of spelling mistakes made by children in writing.... The problem of a child building their own language systems based on speech samples obtained from communication with adults is considered, which is why the manual devotes significant attention to the quality of adult speech (primarily, the speech of the mother), as well as the patterns of mastering language norms and rules (from general to specific, from specific to individual exceptions). The educational manual is intended for students of philological, preschool, and clinical psychology faculties of higher education institutions.
