The Lost World. The Maracot Deep

The book contains abridged retellings of two science fiction novels by Arthur Conan Doyle. In the novel «The Lost World», the members of Professor Challenger's expedition travel to South America and discover living dinosaurs, ape-men, and Stone Age savages. In the novel «The Maracot Deep», scientists descend into a deep-sea trench of the Atlantic Ocean, where they uncover a sunken city inhabited by descendants of the Atlanteans. The book is illustrated by the talented Italian artist A. Baldanzi.
