Arkady Petrovich Gaidar 1904–1941 - a Soviet writer, author of children's books Chuk and Gek, Timur and His Team, The Fate of the Drummer and others, participated in the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. He dreamed of going to the... front and fighting, like his father. A.P. Gaidar was only 14 years old when he became the commander of a squad. In 1922, he was demobilized from the ranks of the Red Army. A.P. Gaidar's first work was published in 1925. It was the story In Days of Defeats and Victories. Since 1932, the writer worked as a special and later a military correspondent for various newspapers and magazines. Many works by A.P. Gaidar have become part of the school curriculum and have found their readers in different countries around the world. The fairy tale Hot Stone was published in 1941 in the children's magazine Murzilka. As in any fairy tale, there is a lesson for good young men in Hot Stone. The main idea of the work is simple, yet very important - life must be lived with dignity, so there is no need to rewrite it in blank. Life is given to a person only once; it should not be squandered on useless deeds and bad actions. The story The Fourth Bunker was written by Gaidar at the request of his wife L.L. Solomyanskaya. She was an editor at Pioneer Truth on radio and asked Gaidar to write a short story for the radio newspaper. Three friends unexpectedly find themselves in the center of military exercises. The guys do not understand what is really happening, whether they will manage to get out alive, and this becomes a serious test for them.
