Vladimir Vladimirovich Mayakovsky 1893-1930 was born in the village of Bagdadi, near the city of Kutaisi, into a impoverished noble family. In 1902, after the death of his father, Mayakovsky moved to Moscow with his mother and sisters. The move... to the capital had a significant impact on the future poet. Here, as he grew older, he met revolutionary student activists and actively participated in revolutionary activities. Mayakovsky did not come to poetry right away - in 1911 he entered the School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, from which he was expelled three years later for public performances. For the first time, Mayakovsky's poems were published in 1912 in the anthology of Futurist poets A Slap in the Face of Public Taste. Mayakovsky was a very bright and charismatic personality, and his love for freedom and originality was reflected in his work. The poet established his own laws of versification, creating his own images, metaphors, rhymes, rhythm, and meter of poetry, inventing new words such as giraffka, zveriki, drygonozhestvo, ispavlinit'sya, etc., and even recording his poetry in a unique way - not in a column but in a staircase format. The themes of Mayakovsky's poetry are diverse: they include lyrical poems, satire, and civic lyric poetry. The poet considered creativity for children to be no less important: My latest passion is children's literature. We need to give children new ideas and new concepts about the surrounding things. Mayakovsky captivates his young readers from the very first lines - such bright and remarkable images he creates in his works for children. This includes fairy tales from modern life such as The Story of Vlas, the lazybones and slacker, and the instructive story What is Good and What is Bad?, and stories about distant countries This little book of mine is about the sea and the lighthouse, and an unusual journey through the zoo What page you turn - there's an elephant, a lioness, and a guide to professions Who to be?, and an instructive and entertaining description of how toys are made, how many people of different professions are involved in this process Horse-fire. Most of his children's books were illustrated by Mayakovsky himself. For younger school age.
