Learning to Write Notes: Worksheets for Young Musicians

The feature of these music worksheets is the repeated writing of two parallel sound series - C major and A minor, which are the primary unit of the circle of fifths of keys. Each time, the familiar sound series are... presented to the child in a different rhythmic or metric arrangement, posing new cognitive challenges. This technique allows the child to focus on a new element of the musical language that has appeared in the already familiar notational context. In the resource, almost all elements of the musical language are organized into four- or eight-bar structures, which will allow the learner not only to write the proposed notational-rhythmic material but also to perform it.
