Python for Young Programmers

The book is based on the experience of teaching programming in Python at a club for young programmers and has been tested on children aged 7-12 years. The material is designed for self-study of the basics of Python by schoolchildren... in grades 2-5, who have basic computer skills, without adult assistance. The process of creating programs is given step by step with screenshots. When creating the first programs, children do not write code but assemble the program from colorful blocks, as in Scratch, then turn it into code and make minor adjustments. Children will learn to program a turtle to draw patterns, as well as create constructions, control characters and drones in Minecraft. In the process of game-based learning, children will learn about data types, operators, loops, lists, functions, and other elements of the Python language.
