The narrative foundation of the book is the story of a woman searching for the meaning of life, tormented by thoughts of her missing father and the fate of her unborn child. And into this story are woven several intriguing threads related to Sufism, the history of the city of Konya, and the relationships between the outstanding poet and thinker of the Middle Ages Jalal ad-Din Rumi and the mystic and theologian of the East Shams Tabrizi and the mystery of his death.
