Johnny the ant is the strangest resident of the entire anthill. He is too weak—absolutely no match for the other strong ants, too fat—he even has to sleep outside, too trusting—he constantly gets into trouble that other ants, who dislike... him for his differences, set up for him. In general, Johnny's life is no picnic, although he does have one true friend—the ant Lapushka, who does not like to work unlike her sisters.
But one spring day, something very strange happened to the wrong ant Johnny: he felt sharp vibrations in his chubby body. What could it be? He must be sick! The ant paramedic (and it was definitely her, not some harmful sister, right? After all, Johnny sees so poorly) confirmed his fears: he must urgently leave the anthill, or they are all doomed!
Johnny rushes away, and his loyal Lapushka, despite his terrible illness, decides to follow him: after all, how will her best friend manage alone in the wild forest?
This journey holds discoveries and dangers for them, and one night Johnny meets a lovely beetle who rolls a wonderful, fragrant, perfect... little dung ball! And just like that, he can no longer contain the vibration inside him, he lets it out, the flaps on his back open up, and real wings emerge from them! Yes, Johnny was not an ant at all.
This new ability helps Johnny not only understand who he really is but also save Lapushka from a greedy bird, and prove to all his former ant brethren that he is not a worthless ant, but a wonderful dung beetle!
This is a story about how differences are not weaknesses or something to be ashamed of. On the contrary, they are opportunities and possibilities!
