All her novels have been adapted into films and translated into many... languages, with a total print run of over 60 million copies. In the church's sacristy, two corpses are discovered. Murder? There is no doubt about it. But what connects the victims – the destitute vagabond Harry Mack and the retired politician Paul Beroun? Neither the beautiful widow Beroun, nor her respectable brother, nor the aristocratic mother, nor the silent chauffeur seem intent on telling the truth about what happened.
