Белые степи

The beginning of the 20th century. Young Zuhra, raised by her father to venerate God, respect elders, and protect the weak, marries a neighboring boy, Shakir, whom she fell in love with as a child.
The timid, pure happiness of the... young family is initially threatened by another friend from their childhood games, Akhat, who is unrequitedly in love with Zuhra, and later by the Civil War, as a result of which Shakir goes missing.
Zuhra faces hunger, betrayal, and loss of loved ones, the collapse of former beliefs, repression, and the Great Patriotic War.

But until the end of her days, she keeps faith in the White Steppes — a place where only happy people live… A place where there are no wars, enmity, and quarrels, only love, acceptance, and justice.
