Nils's Journey with the Wild Geese = The Wonderful Adventures of Nils

The book is an adaptation of the fairy tale by the famous Swedish writer Selma Lagerlöf (1858—1940) "The Wonderful Journey of Nils Holgersson through Sweden" in English. This tale, widely known in our country, was the pinnacle of the writer's... creativity, through which she gained worldwide recognition. It tells the captivating story of a boy named Nils, enchanted by a gnome and turned very small, who travels across Sweden with a flock of wild geese on the back of a goose named Martin. A cruel prankster and carefree slacker, Nils gradually learns kindness, empathy, and the importance of caring for others, sometimes sacrificing his own interests. Becoming a true person not just in words but in actions, Nils ultimately earns the forgiveness of the magical gnome and returns to being an ordinary boy.
This guide is developed in accordance with the new requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES). It will help elementary school students prepare for the mandatory final exam in English for every student in the new format being introduced this year.
After each chapter of the guide, there are comments and translations of difficult words and expressions, as well as exercises that take into account the new requirements of the final assessment. They are aimed not only at checking comprehension of the text but also at developing vocabulary, grammar, and skills in reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The exercises have two levels of difficulty, allowing each student to demonstrate their level of knowledge and skills.
At the end of the book, there is a glossary, a test in the format of the final exam for the 4th grade, including listening tasks, as well as answers to all exercises and test tasks.
