The Best Korean Fairy Tales

This book includes famous Korean folk tales (Simcheong, The Tale of Hong Gwi and Hwaeji, and Heungbu and Nolbu) that, while possessing Eastern charm, also embody values close to Russian readers: friendship, loyalty, love for others, and mutual assistance. Each fairy tale is accompanied by an artistic translation into Russian and questions to check comprehension of the reading. At the end of the book, there is a Korean-Russian dictionary to facilitate reading. The tales have been selected and adapted for beginners studying the Korean language by recognized experts in Korean language and literature: Associate Professor of the Department of Philology of Southeast Asian Countries, Korea, and Mongolia at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Chun In Sun, and Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Institute of Eastern Cultures and Antiquity at the Russian State Humanities University, Anastasia Viktorovna Pogadaeva.
